shoot.send.breathe and The Concierges! 2012-03-29

Photographers! This post is for you! Wedding season has officially kicked into high gear, so I wanted to tell you about the two things that keep me sane when things start to get crazy: shoot.send.breathe and The Concierges.  These two companies are the best tools I have found for allowing me to shoot a full season of weddings and still see my family while doing so.  These girls make my job and home life a thousand times more manageable, and give me the freedom and ability to do more work without taking too much time away from my children and husband.  I love them!  Here’s what they do for me:

This company (sister company to The Concierges) has made outsourcing my editing a dream come true. They have flat rate pricing for weddings and sessions (rather than per image pricing) and even better, they color correct 100% custom to my style. I work with one editor for everything from color correction to album design… and she’s quick, efficient, and has learned my color correcting style to a T.  I love what they’ve done for my work turnaround and my free time at home.  Because I am confident in their work, and comfortable with my editor, I feel free to take on many more projects than I would otherwise. Lifesaver!

There aren’t really words for The Concierges, except that I love them so much.  This company is sort of genius, outsourcing studio management for photographers on a commission basis.  My studio manager, Jenny, helps me keep up with client communication, calendar management, contracts & invoicing, and pretty much everything else that doesn’t have to do with shooting. If you need help with these things (like most photographers do)… anything from marketing strategies to social media updates: you name it, they do it.  You will fall in love with your studio manager, as I have with Jenny.  To have another set of hands working on all the things I don’t have time (and sometimes just really don’t like) to do, without being tied to a set hourly/payment rate, has made my business flourish and given me back so much time with my family.  We also all share ideas and tools in our Concierges Family Room forum, and it’s invaluable to share with photographers from all over the US about business!  For me, they are a dream come true.

Just thought I’d share, as these two sister companies are opening up to new clients and I think they are the best two things I’ve found yet!

What a happy Thursday we are having!

We are so honored and completely humbled to be featured on the Outstanding Occasions blog today as one of their favorite wedding photographers in Phoenix!  First off, to be chosen as one of the favorite photographers for such a great event planning company was hugely flattering, then when we saw the photographers we were listed amongst, we just felt even more honored!

dana + kelley | scottsdale wedding photographer 2011-12-03

We love these two so much!  Dana and her big blue eyes, Kelley and the sweet way he looks at her, we felt really lucky to be a part of this beautiful wedding day.  We always love a wedding at the classy and amazing Arizona Biltmore, and this was made even more special by the great details and touches added to every moment of the day.
