La Mai Coffee | Drink Compassionately 2009-12-17

This is such a cool place to buy your next Christmas present or future gifts for friends. My Mom brewed a cup of this coffee for me today and I loved it, but didn't know their was a great story behind it also.

La Mai is an organic, fairly traded coffee that is bringing hope to the people of northern Thailand. Farmers who once grew opium poppies and were central to the drug trade, now grow high quality coffee beans instead. International charity Bright Hope World pays above Fair Trade prices for these beans giving the farmers a living wage.

AND

Girls as young as 10 years old are being sold into the sex trade ­ often by their parents. Bright Hope World and their partners help rescue these girls educating them for a better future while working with families of even younger girls so they never get involved. Operating in 35 countries through relief, development, micro-enterprise and income generation Bright Hope World is changing the lives of the poorest of the poor.

Las Vegas | Engagement Photography | Courtney & William 2009-12-14

With a modern day country western theme in Las Vegas, Courtney & William truly captured their love in the 40 degree weather for their engagement photographs. Both were having a great time just being together despite the large amounts of peacocks and geese that were lurking around the photo shoot. The two plan to have their wedding in Las Vegas next fall at Saint Thomas Moore and then a beautiful outdoor reception in Boulder City.
