Kurt Nielsen opened his own photography studio, Kurt Nielsen Photography, in the Toledo area after spending 12 years working and gaining experience at other portrait studios in the Toledo area.  Kurt has now photographed over 25,000 sets of young children throughout his career.  He also has photographed over 700 weddings.  He photographs at his studio and on location, including destination photography.  

As a well established photographer, Kurt has earned the reputation of "The Guy for Kids Photography."  His shooting style is something to experience for both young and old.  He has won several photographic awards in the community and in print competitions including the 2006 Toledo Area Parent Family Favorite Kids Photographer.   More recently, Kurt has been awarded the 2010 Brides Choice Award by WeddingWire.com, and The Knot Best of Weddings 2011 Pick.  Both were the first year he was listed on their sites.  He also just received word that he has been awarded the 2011 Wedding Wire Brides Choice Award which makes it his second straight year for that honor!   Kurt Nielsen Photography specializes in Engagement, Wedding, Maternity and Baby, Children and Families, High School Seniors, Events and Special Occasion Photography, and so much more.  But Kurt does not limit his work to just what he specializes in.  Kurt also does just about anything you would need a photographer to do.  He does work for many business such as Head Shots, Office Group Shots, and even Catalogue Photos.  He has photographed many schools and pre-schools for their school pictures or sports teams.  He has done photo shoots for aspiring models and has even done the occasional tasteful "Glamour" or "Boudoir" photo shoots.  Kurt feels that by not limiting his work to certain areas, it keeps him current with today's popular trends in all aspects of photography.

Kurt's Kustom Keepsakes is a green screen photo booth division of Kurt Nielsen Photography and makes a great addition to any event or gathering.  All images taken at the event get posted online to download for free and, depending on package choice, your guests will receive a 4 x 6 print to take home! 
Kurt believes that everyone should give back to the community and is no stranger to doing just that.  Kurt regularly photographs for charitable organizations like Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio, Epilepsy Center of Northwest Ohio, and The American Heart Association, Northwest Ohio Division.  Kurt feels that if everyone gave just one hour of their time every year, so much could be accomplished and so many people could benefit.
