The traveling team of Kustom Koozies is having a brief stop in the Mountains of Colorado. Colorado being one of the most beautiul places on the map has great scenery and we are happy to say they are strong supporters of personalized koozies.
We dropped into Colorado via the Denver airport, beautiful airport with basically a tent for a roof. Apparently it works as it has held up for 15 years. Did a little sightseeing in Colorado at lower (1 mile) altitude before heading to the highlands.
Our trip took us by Pikes Peak and into South Park. Yes the same South Park of comedy fame, and a vast area where you expect to see buffalo roaming. Stopped in the little town of Fairplay and yes they have Koozies there!!
St. Elmo is a little ghost town high up in the mountains with a jail, shop (Koozies $1.49 each) for those of you who want to know. The town is popular as a place to rent ATV’s and feeding chipmunks. Chipmunks are basically an industry themself. I am the proud owner of a St. Elmo Koozie.
Mt. Princeton hot springs is where steaming hot water comes from the ground to the surface, you can get comfortable in Chalk Creek, and adjust the temperature based on moving rocks, or you can go to one of their pools. They also have a 300 foot water slide (in warm water) for your enjoyment. Quite a neat place to visit and re-invigorate. Supposedly the hot water is good for you, and the Ute Indians used the area as sacred ground.
So thank you Colorado for showing us cool places to enjoy koozies.
