Yes my friends… 2012 has been a year of change for sure. Early this year, Brad and I picked up and moved back to our beloved Nashville, Tennessee after living in my home state of Florida for four years. We found a beautiful little house to call our own and have been settling in little by little. Our business has been evolving and new projects we have long been planning are finally coming to fruition. There has been a lot of hard work involved with both our personal and business lives but it is so amazing to see the ideas that have been floating around in our heads and on notepads for ages finally take shape and come to life. There will be much much more on these projects in the next few weeks, but first Bradford and I want to share something we are over the moon excited about. Something that is truly our own special creation and labor of love…
It is official my friends…
WE ARE HAVING A BABY!

It is true, there will be a little Watson bambino making his or her entrance into the world later this year. We are due the first week of December and cannot wait to meet this sweet little nugget we have been dreaming of for so long. The first trimester has been no picnic, and I have envied my friends who in their pregnancies have skirted by without the intense nausea and exhaustion I’ve experienced. (I have decided because of this I will in turn skirt by with no varicose veins, stretch marks or other unsightly symptoms. Seems fair to me.) This whole morning sickness theory, is certainly a misnomer, it should more appropriately be called all day vomitosis or possibly good-luck-eating-anything-at-all syndrome, but alas I did not get the privilege of naming symptoms or clearly I would have done a more accurate job. We have finally passed the 12 week mark and are soon to be rounding the corner into the second trimester. My symptoms are easing up a bit and hopefully I’m on my way to feeling more like myself again. Food aversions and upchuck aside, Bradford and I are so excited to be growing our little family and meeting this sweet little soul we will be sharing our lives with. And who knows what the next few years will lead to but I’m sure as a family of three they will be an adventure unlike any we have been on before.

Brad and I are gearing up and heading to Florida this morning. First on our big list of things to do is shoot Stephanie & Mike’s downtown library wedding tomorrow. Knowing Stephanie, it will be stunning to say the least! We will have a few days to work from our Florida office then we will be shooting two more weddings over Memorial Day weekend. It is going to be a busy few days, but we are ready for it! Here are a few of our favorites from Stephanie & Mike’s engagement session this past Fall as a little teaser of things to come. Keep your eyes on the blog over the next two weeks… big things are a comin!

Just two short weeks ago we were in Florida shooting a beautiful outdoor wedding in the gardens of The Oldest House located in St. Augustine. Christina planned such a sweet neutral color palette of ivories, blush accents and blacks that it complimented the historic location perfectly. Here are a few sneak peeks of their wedding day. We hope you all enjoy!

I absolutely love this photo of Christina’s dad and his two girls.
