Highs in the low 70s, no wind, partly cloudy. I’ll take it! Darci and Ben got married Saturday in a beautiful ceremony at the Elmwood Park grotto in Omaha. It was a simple and short ceremony and absolutely gorgeous. Following the ceremony, we cruised around in a VIP Limousine for a spell including a stop at the Homey Inn before finishing up at the the Old Dundee Bar & Grill for their reception. At dusk, I stole the couple away briefly for a couple quick portraits at Memorial Park, which turned out beautiful. Darci & Ben are blessed with some great friends who helped make it a day to remember.
Oh, and I should also mention the Vibram shoes the groom and groomsmen were wearing. That was a wedding first for me!

I’m deeply disappointed that I didn’t get to photograph Monica and Ryan’s Jamaica wedding; however being able to shoot their 1316 Jones Street reception in Omaha was a nice little consolation.
The pictures below include a quick portrait outing we did before the reception, a shot of their fun bride & groom coozies, the gladdening of the bride dance, and (in the spirit of Jamaica) a quick dip beneath some liquid sunshine.

We had some reasonable December weather when I met up with Alysha and Josh for their engagement session. Josh is a recently graduated Creighton baseball player and so we started the session in TD Ameritrade park and made some images for their save-the-date cards. Afterward we headed over the the Gene Leahy Mall to take in the Christmas Lights. Great session!

Lynn and Rippi made their only visit between booking me and their wedding over Christmas break. So we were thrilled when the weather cooperated, allowing us to have an outdoor engagement session. We met up in Nebraska City where the Boston couple will tie the knot this spring. I love Nebraska City! It was fun shooting in areas where they’ll get married and finally getting to meet the two of them! It should be a beautiful wedding: outdoor ceremony behind the Lied Lodge then everybody will walk the nature trail to the barns where the reception will be held.
