Lux is a team of three photographers, Ricardo, Andy and Jonathan, who share the same vision and respect for photography as an expression of art. Good enough is not enough, our goal is always to create unique images and tell the story of your special day, with all the joy, spontaneity and emotion that is already there. It's not what you see, but how you see it...

Ricardo Serpa,  Andrew Marrero or Jonathan Mavila will be the main photographer in any event. We all photograph with the same style, passion and respect for photography and for our clients. We shoot non-stop, favoring non-posed images and looking for the emotion and the meaningful moments that are sometimes overlooked by more conventional photographers. The use of very fast lenses allow us to photograph with available light in even the most demanding environments, an approach that gives the images a very natural and true-to-life, one-of-a-kind look.

All our images are taken in RAW format and the final selection is then color-corrected, retouched (whenever needed) and finalized to achieve the best possible results. We shoot with 21-megapixel digital cameras and we don't count the number of pictures we take during any event.  Typically we end up with around 1,500/2,000 images, from which 300 to 500 become final. These are then burned to a CD or DVD and released with unlimited printing rights.

The final images are uploaded to a state-of-the-art, intuitive online proofing system, completely customized for each event. They are separated by categories, and favorites can be chosen and set apart for an album selection or print ordering. The images can also be viewed in an online slideshow, set to music and ready to be shared with family and friends. The slideshow is also extremely easy to work with. The photo gallery stays online for one year and it's password-protected.

We always design our own albums and each one is absolutely unique, for we never use pre-made templates of any kind. Yes, it is way more time and work for us, but we feel all events deserve an album as special and exclusive as the events themselves. You can select from a variety of albums types, from different manufacturers.

Our studio is located in Weston, some 20 minutes west of Ft Lauderdale, and we would truly enjoy welcoming you to show our images and custom designed wedding books.
