Biggest Wedding Day Regrets 2012-01-09

Been a while since my last post, and came across this that shows regrets that newlyweds have about their wedding day.

Wouldn't you know it, not having a videographer was #1.

Becki & Dan 2008-03-06

Here’s a current wedding video opening that I am currently working on for Becki & Dan's wedding video.

This is their opening credits from Bridal prep to processional. I tried to keep it fresh and clean by using a lot of natural audio, straight cuts, and real time video. Not much slow motion here.

The 10 REAL Questions You Should Ask Your Videographer 2009-03-03

Sometimes our clients come in with a list of questions like "Do you shoot in digital?" or "What type of equipment do you use?" We realize that these questions might come from a wedding planning web site that has good intentions, but these questions really miss the mark, in our opinion. The more meaningful questions that determine if a videographer is right for a client in the long run are tougher to answer by many videographers.

I've shared my thoughts on this with other professional wedding videographers around the country whom I respect. We agree that the pitfalls that some clients fall into can be avoided if the right questions are asked.

Today, some of them have taken this idea and started to run with it. We hope that all of us can make a dent and help educate clients so that they don't fall prey to the well-meaning hobbyist who is more interested in having fun and making a quick buck than they are delivering you a high quality video that you will enjoy for years to come.

The 10 REAL Questions You Should Ask Your Videographer

1. How will my movie sound?
2. How do you handle lighting?
3. How do you vary your shots?
4. How do you plan to tell the story of my day?
5. How long will it take to get my finished movie?
6. Are you 'preferred' by the other companies I've hired?
7. May I see other clients' movies and read what they had to say about you?
8. How do you get your shots without being 'in the way'?
9. Why are your services more expensive/less expensive than other companies?
10. What do you do to make sure our movie is unique to our personalities? (more...)

Tara & Jeff 2009-04-05

Here's an older wedding that I did last year for a lovely couple, Tara & Jeff. They live in California, but Jeff is retired from the US Navy, and as such they had the wedding ceremony at the beautiful U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis MD and the reception at the historic Calvert House.

Friends and family came from all over the globe, as it was a truly international affair.

Thank you to Tara and Jeff and everyone involved for making me feel so at ease and part of the family.

Here's the opening bridal sequence for everyone to enjoy.

Caroah & Brandon 2009-04-05

Caroah & Brad''s wedding took place on September 20, 2008 at the beautiful City Club Of Washington D.C.

Besides being one of the most beautiful wedding venues I have worked in to date, the wedding itself was one of the most lively events that I have. Both Brandon and Caroah are huge Washington Capitals fans, like myself, and found a way to incorporate their Caps fandom into their wedding itself.

The reception was about as lively as you're gonna see, with plenty of dancing, dancing, and more dancing.
Here's just a brief trailer as to the happening of the day.

Enjoy.
And C-A-P-S, Caps, Caps Caps!
