This is about the time that I start getting IMs and emails from my adoring fans asking how their favorite kiddos are. Megan turned 2 last weekend so Jenni & Chris had me out for some new family pictures. I’ve seen her walk before, but now she’s got these full sentences and everything! Two words: ridiculously adorable.
Speaking of ridiculously adorable. Our little moo cow. With some cute moo cow hynie.

Wearing mommy’s dress and sitting in mommy’s old rocking chair. The Hello Kitty socks were Megan’s spin on things

That’s a picture of Jenni as a little girl, isn’t it ADORABLE!?

Super Megan!

Looks like she found mommy’s nose.

Love the little hands in the air!

Megan and her Abby doll.

Megan and her best doggie friend, Lucy.

Jenni and Chris. Awwww.

100% Chris.

Welcome to another edition of “CAUGHT”. I’ve been keeping a folder of caught images for 4 years and I don’t know how many weddings now. When I uploaded Stephanie & Ben’s pictures I realized that I have well over 800 images in it now. Yikes. Well, it’s still one of my most favorite posts after a wedding, so here we go ….
Nancy was preparing for ceremony pictures and Tracie & I were stand-ins. This one is *very* exciting, I know. Maybe next time I will jump up and down

Vivie putting her cute on for a light test for formals.

Stephanie, a dutiful blog stalker, knows the drill.

Coming to you straight from the ring reflection.

Papa … papa … razzi. (Name that butt)

Hellooooo Vivie, you are looking flashy this evening.

How is it that I totally do not remember this happening? Tracie, do you?

We begin today’s story on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Fort Worth Texas at the equally beautiful Marty Leonard Chapel.

LOVE, LOVE the pink shoes.

The minister looking over the vows before the ceremony.

The kids got a front row seat!

John & his mom are all smiles walking down the aisle.

Jana’s mom is trying to keep the candle steady.
Just a side note, notice the back candle is trying to put itself out. John’s mom handed me a lighter right before Jana came down the aisle so I could get it re-lit. I handed the lighter off to a groomsmen who snuck back there to light it. It went out again and the three of us giggled. Well, John’s mom & I giggled, the groomsmen just sort of shrugged. Good try though!

John was all smiles when the doors opened for Jana.

Jana and her dad were beaming too.

I love this moment at the altar with all three of them.

Viv got a gorgeous shot of the whole chapel from the balcony. Nancy and I were hiding behind the pillars at the front if you were wondering how close we were.

We were CLOSE.

Jana and John didn’t miss a beat – they improvised to relight the candle.

A moment of prayer after the unity candle.

John’s mom was so darling.

John’s dad, who was a groosman, was just beaming through the whole ceremony.

Jana’s pretty freaking excited!

Viv captured this moment of them together after they walked out of the church.

Off to the reception!

And time for the first dance!

… and saying hello to friends!

The kids got a good seat for the action.

Jana and her dad had a blast during their dance.

John and his mom were so sweet.

Jana asked the kids what kind of cake they want. They all wanted John’s chocolate covered strawberries!

John’s Grandmother scoping out his ring.

Everyone getting low.

And hands up high.

Bonus points if you recognize the lady on the far left. Ok, unless you are a super stalker you won’t … She’s one of my 2006 brides. The best part was her telling her husband “hey, that’s our wedding photographer!”

This was no ordinary bouquet toss.

Keep your eyes on the girl in the turban. She’s been training for this day.

She’s shocked she caught it too.

That’s some victory spike!

One more cheer for her! Hip Hip Hooray!

A little pow wow before the garter toss.

LOL. Can anyone say canvas size?

I think they have their victim picked out.

Yep, he caught it.

This is serious business, guys.

A little 80s metal.

A little dancing.

A little love train.

Run, it’s sparkler time!

I know, eeeeekkkkkk.

Jana says her goodbyes.

Her dad captures the moment.

And they are off .. to Costa Rica!

Marty Leonard Chapel. Oooo how it makes me feel warm and happy inside to shoot there. For me, Marty Leonard is the epitome of a modern wedding and with no rules for photography inside – pink puffy heart bonus! It was THE perfect day to shoot there, too, so all of the portraits from Jana and John’s wedding were done outside. Lynn = soooo ecstatic!
We started our pre-ceremony portraits with the boys.

Fast forward to after the ceremony now. Yay, for the absolutely adorable parents!

And the girls. Jana LOVES to laugh and so do her girls!

Isn’t she so sweet with her two sisters (left & right of her)?!

Taking the picture was hilarious, and I’m sure John thought I was nuts, but I love the movement in it.

Doesn’t it just make you want to say “awwww”?

I can’t forget all of the great architecture inside. Since it was still so sunny out, we got some great light!
