Lisa and Tez @ Rushton Hall 2012-05-18

What a lucky couple! Lisa and Tez wer married on the beautiful Island of Barbados in April and we provided the live music for their UK wedding celebration at Rushton Hall. We have performed many times at Rushton Hall, but never in the beautiful cellar bar - which was the venue for Lisa and Tez's party.
We played a selection of chilled out songs whilst the couple chatted and caught up with their guests - photographs of their caribbean wedding were shown on all the flat screens on the walls! It made us all feel a little warmer looking at the stunning beach views, after the British weather is still stuck in Winter!
We had the honour of working with some of our close supplier friends - Melody Cakes - providing a stunning cake with 80 mini cakes! Cream Entertainments, top Leiecster based DJ services and we met photographer Ben from 'Shutter Happy' - he was snapping away all night getting some great shots - including some of us! Thanks Ben!

We had a great time with Lisa and Tez and hope that they went on to have a great night at Rushton Hall. Wishing you both all the best for your new future together.

Samira and Luke married at Beaumanor Hall, Leicestershire 2012-05-16

What a lovely wedding to be a part of! We've met Samira and Luke on a number of occasions - they live just up the road from a monthly pub gig we do at The WhiteHorse in Birstall, Leicestershire and have popped in to see us in action a few times!

Ceremonies at Beaumanor Hall are a little bit different to other venues. There is a grand sweeping staircase that the bride makes her grand entrance down in front of the 'nervously' awaiting Groom and all the guests.

We positioned ourselves at the foot of the staircase and performed a selection of songs as the guests were arriving to create a nice ambience, and to entertain while they were waiting for the ceremony to begin. When Samira was ready to descend the stairs, Will played an instrumental version of 'Songbird' to accompany her down with her Bridesmaids. What a lovely moment! We then performed the full version of 'Song bird' as Samira walked down the aisle to greet Luke. For the signing of the register they chose ‘Grow Old With You’ and ‘I’m Yours’ and then they made their exit as the new Mr and Mrs Martin to ‘Just the way you are’ (Bruno Mars’ version!) We carried on the entertainment for their Drinks Reception playing requests while the photographs were being taken by fab photographer Sam Johnson - check out his site. Wonderful photos and a nice chap too!

It was so wonderful to be part of Samira and Luke’s special day and we thank them for letting us share it with them.

Abi and Dave and the lovely Vintage Wedding 2012-05-03

One rare fine sunny day in April, we (Mango) trundled down to Berkshire - a little bit further than we normally travel to these days, to perform for Abi and Daves wedding at The Sheepdrove Eco Conference Centre. After what seemed like driving into the middle of nowhere along a single track, we finally reached this amazing venue. All the staff couldn't have been more friendly - offering us hot drinks and making sure we had everything we needed.
We set up in the vast stunning wooden building to perform for Abi and Dave's drinks reception and performed a selection of chilled out songs as everyone chatted and mingled.
This morning we received a lovely letter from Abi and Dave.......

Charlie and Will,
Hi Both, Just a quick not to thank you for the entertainment for our wedding. It was perfect and set the tone for a lovely chilled out day! We were both a bit gutted we didn't get to listen to you more and kept saying it's a shame we probably won't get to see you live again - unless we can persuade any friends to book you for their weddings!
Hope all's well and Good Luck for the future.... Love Abi and Dave.


The Sheepdrove Eco centre is a wonderful place, perfect setting for a relaxed, vintage style wedding. The food is amazing (The chef told us they mill their own flour in the morning to make into bread for the day - how special is that!) They also have different events on all year around, so I strongly suggest if you are in the area, take a trip to Sheepdrove and see their amazing venue.

We would like to thank Abi and Dave for inviting us to perform on their special day - we were made to feel so welcome by all their family and friends.

Good Luck for the future guys - and hopefully we will see you again soon!

PS We especially liked the fact that we were provided with a 'Band Room' to get changed and relax in - normally we get offered the disabled loos! Our room was called The Rooks Nest - a cylindrical room right at the top of the venue with amazing views, adorned with the cosiest bean bags ever! x (more...)

Elizabeth and Graham at Ullesthorpe Court Hotel 2012-05-01

We had the pleasure of performing for Liz and Graham at the lovely Ullesthorpe Court Hotel. Mango entertained the evening guests as they arrived for the evening party, performing songs hand picked by the couple.
We also learnt a special song for their first dance - 'Quando Quando Quando' - it was a slightly different song for us to cover - but we added our own Mango 'twist' to it, Liz and Graham loved it!

Dear Charlie and Will,
We would both like to say a big thank for your superb performance at our wedding reception on Thursday 5th April. You were excellent and the guests are still telling us how impressed they were!
And - on top of that - our first dance choice - Quando, quando, quando. It was the icing on the cake. We absolutely loved it!!! We had not managed to practise our first dance in advance but when you called us up to the dance floor and played our song so beautifully our feet and bodies just flowed across the floor in perfect harmony.
Thank you so much and we will positively recommend you to anyone we know looking for that lovely personal touch to their celebrations.

Matt and Rebecca, Brockencote Hall 2012-05-02

What a lovely wedding this one was! Absolutely stunning venue and a lovely couple to match. Matt and Rebecca were married at Brockencote Hall.
Mango performed for their ceremony and drinks reception.We sang 'I was born to love you' by Queen as Rebecca made her grand entrance. During the signing of the register the couple chose 'Kiss me' and 'Just the way you are' for us to play and their final choice was 'All you need is love' as they made their way exit as the new Mr and Mrs Izon.
We performed in the conservatory for the Drinks Reception as Matt and Rebecca had their formal shots taken - in between the April showers! During the drinks reception we performed a special song for the groom - at Rebecca request, 'You've got a friend in me' from Toy Story. This was a surprise for Matt as Rebecca had asked us to learn it especially for him. It was a lovely moment for everyone in the room.

We also met a lovely videograper - Tom from 'Our Big Day on Film' - lovely chap and his video's are fab!

We wish Rebecca and Matt all the best for their future together, and thank them for letting us share in their big day!
