Alex and Andrea were married a couple of weekends ago on the GVSU campus. Zach and Analisa were along to capture their big day. I had so much fun flipping through these photos! I love the photos of when these guys laugh, you can’t help but smile when you see them!
Andrea’s bouquet is STUNNING! Probably one of my favorites to date for sure! I love the photo below of it, you’ll probably be seeing it around the website and blog header very soon!
Congrats Andrea & Alex!

Andrew and I kicked off the official start to our 2012 wedding season this past Saturday at Justin and Kristine’s wedding. These two had their ceremony at Vriesland Reformed Church, along with their wedding reception at the Grand Haven Golf Club.
We were lucky enough to have a bit of time before the ceremony with just the two of them, and were able to get some great shots outside of the church. The series of photos in the tall grass are my favorite! I just love the photo of Justin kissing Kristine’s forehead. Love!
Their bridal party was made up of a great bunch of people, including one of our past grooms Isaac. The day flies when you have a great group of people! I’ll be posting the rest of their preview photos to our facebook page, so feel free to tag yourself to post to your profile.
As always, congrats to you guys! We hope you are having a blast in Anna Maria Island!

I shouldn’t really call this post a wedding preview because I actually have all of the wedding photos completed. I sat down to work on the blog preview and had so much fun looking at their wedding photos that I decided to just get going on the whole thing.
So if you’d like to see all of the photos hop on over to our proofing site and take a look at their gallery.
Jodi and Tom were married 2 Saturdays ago, Zach and Analisa were there to capture their big day. If I rememebr correctly there was a chance for rain the entire day but it thankfully held off! It’s always exciting for me to edit the weddings that the associates photograph. I like seeing how their day unfolds.
Jodi chose what I think is the most perfect dress for her! The series of photos of Jodi and Tom’s send off from the ceremony I LOVE! Her dress looks amazing from the back all poofed up, I love it!
I had so many great photos to choose from, It was hard not to choose them all for the preview!

“… but on either side of it. ” – Edward Steichen
So many times throughout our job we hear “Wow! That’s a nice camera, I bet it takes good pictures!” And although it’s meant to be a compliment about our equipment, it makes me realize a lot of things. Would you say to a surgeon “Wow! That’s a nice scalpel, I bet it performs great surgery!” Get my point?
The photos taken of your wedding day will be placed in an album or slideshow and looked at by your kids, grandkids, great grandkids, and many more generations. If we have all of this trust in the technology in cameras, which most people seem to do lately to save a buck, the photos will not be around for those kids to see. Andrew and I take pride in our work and know that 100 years from now, the people looking at the photos will see great quality work (a little dated!) But still great work with proper technical skill.
