Congratulations to Brandon Dillard and Heather Aliff! They are the winners of the first ever Winter Brew Giveaway and they will receive a FREE wedding videography package for their wedding on December 3rd 2011, which will mark their 4 years of being together.
Brandon and Heather are both a huge part of the community and spend the better amount of their time serving others. Brandon has recently become a certified firefighter for the Raleigh Fire Department. He has endured many hours of intense training to make his dream come true and both Brandon and Heather are super excited that he will be such a huge asset to the community. Heather currently attends Meredith College and once she graduates in 2011, she will become a Preschool teacher and help craft our lovely children of the world.
Heather and Brandon have been an example of reminding us how this is such a small world. They first met at a hair salon where Heather worked. Heather was not scheduled to work on the day Brandon and his sister came in, but fate would have it, Heather had to cover for her roommate and Brandon stepped up to chat with her as he was waiting for his sister Brooke to get her hair cut. They immediately hit it off and realized all of the similarities they have not only through their personalities, but also through their life experiences. Little did they know, their grandparents were both from the same ity bity town of Norlina, Heather’s father was a paper boy for Brandon’s mother, and of course they lived this whole time right down the road from each other.
Brandon made their fate official and proposed to Heather on December 2nd, 2010. Of course Heather said “Yes!” They are both super excited to be getting married and committed to both each other, their families, and their community to continue serving God.
Congratulations to Brandon and Heather, we look forward to being a part of your wedding day by providing a beautiful film to capture every small and large moment of your special day.

How to apply
- In an email to jeff@mediabrewer.com, nominate (1) couple, tell us their story, and why they deserve to have a unique video of their special wedding day. The couple could be a friend, family member, or even yourself.
- Tell us the story behind this couple. How did they meet? What makes them unique and deserving? Are they part of a volunteer organization? Are they facing or have they overcome some difficult obstacles?
- You must include the date of the wedding and an email address.
- You can send us an email with video or photos to help tell your story.
- Deadline is December 24, 2010.

Bailey’s Ultimate Finders Keepers in Raleigh from MediaBrewer on Vimeo.
I love covering events just as much as I enjoy weddings and this one was no exception. I had the pleasure of being the videographer for the 2nd Annual Bailey’s Ultimate Finders Keepers in Raleigh, NC. I had no clue what to expect, but went in prepared for anything. When I got to Raleigh about an hour before the scavenger hunt was to kick off, I realized just how big this hunt was going to be. Cars were lined up and down the road and parking lots were filling rapidly. I quickly found my spot and headed over to the kick off party at Lichtin Plaza. The long lines on either side of the registration booth quickly filled up with over 500 participants.
After checking in and meeting all the awesome sponsors at the Pre-game, the participants gathered around for a quick briefing and headed off into downtown Raleigh. Contestants could participate either through texting or through an app created by SCVNGR. The day proceeded to be cold and rainy, but that didn’t stop couples from going their hardest to win that big rock. Speaking of which, check out the size and beauty of the 81-facet Passion Cut™ diamond bling.
After several hours of enduring the harsh climate, we were finally greeted with warm rays of sunshine, which came just in time for the after party. Catering was provided by Fosters American Grill and was much needed to recharge for the big giveaway. Contestants waited eagerly as the points were tallied up and second through fifth prizes were given out. Finally, the moment of truth came and the winners were announced. This lucky couple has been dating for over four years and were ecstatic to have won a prize that most would only dream. Their hands were shaking when they accepted the prize, not sure if that was because they were excited or cold, but I would be willing to bet it was both.

Brides on Tour 2010 from MediaBrewer on Vimeo.
We had the pleasure to create a video for the first ever Brides On Tour, located in Greensboro, NC. This event turned out to be a huge success! Brides were given the opportunity to tour five awesome venues located across the Triad.
The first stop was Magnolia Manor and what a treat for the first of five. This beautiful Antebellum style house is located in Colfax and has an elegant, classy vibe. Of course the rolls royce parked out front helped create that upscale elegance and the strings playing the garden were also quite a treat.
Next up was the all new Studio B in downtown Greensboro. This modern venue is perfect for any sophisticated, artistic bride looking for a venue in the heart of downtown Greensboro.
Also in downtown Greensboro is Level 2. With a beautiful rooftop view of downtown Greensboro, urban lounge, and cabanas, this multi-level location is a great choice for those looking for a wedding night in the city.
The fourth stop was Oak Hills. Located in Eden, this beautiful club house is surrounded by graceful oaks and rolling fairways. For the grooms wishing to hone in on their golf skills before saying “I do,” you can also book exclusive golf packages.
The last, but certainly not least stop on the tour was Willow Oaks Plantation. This beautiful home is surronded with 1800 acres of panaramic scenery, which overlooks the Dan River and includes a two-level stone patio complete with firepit. This Eden destination will leave your guests breathless.
The vendors were all just impressive as the vendors. Brides got to experience the Triads best DJs, while enjoying delicious treats from caterers and bakeries. Every location also offered the best photographers, videographers, florists, beauty designers, and more.
Of course, while the groups were being transported on luxury coaches, they had the helpful graces and charm of an event planner to keep them up to date on the latest trends and to answer any aching questions they had about their big day.
The day ended with a mixer party at Willow Oaks, where brides could re-visit their favorite vendors, talk with each other, or just enjoy the sunset on the horizon.
Brides On Tour has another event being planned for Spring of 2011, so keep your eyes peeled for this exciting, unique opportunity to have fun planning your wedding day!

We are a wedding and event videography business located in Greensboro, NC. Our shooting style is unlike other wedding videographers and we constantly strive to produce a new and unique product. The ideal candidate would need to have professional knowledge of video and video equipment. We utilize numerous types of tools to enhance our video including glidecams, sliders, and HDSLR cameras. The candidate should know how to shoot video using manual controls on both a high end HD camera and HDSLR camera. The candidate should also know how to properly place a lapel microphone on subjects and ensure good quality audio. Equipment is not necessary, but would be a nice addition.
