Yesterday we celebrated our older son’s 10th birthday. What a mind boggling concept that we have a child that is a decade old. (He was the one to point this out to us, by the way.) At this moment, I am really wishing that we had a Day in the Life session of our own, to capture just the simple acts that we make each day as a family. I guess the up and coming New Year is making me feel a bit nostalgic.
Here are a few still images from a Day in the Life Fusion video session that we did with the Mack family. This was a session that we donated to the Madison Children’s Museum Opening Gala last year. Tiffany wanted to wait until their new baby was born. In respect to the family’s privacy, we have kept their video password protected.

We hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday! We had a great Christmas and have been enjoying some R+R in between breaks of insanity.
I am hoping to be posting every morning for the rest of the week. Here are a few of my favorites from a session that I did. I absolutely love it when past couples come to see us! I love it even more when they bring their squishy little girl and their funny side-kick-of-a-dog! I am sooo looking forward to watching little Eva grow.

To say that I love photographing dogs is a severe understatement. How could you not love dogs? Seriously. Nicco is no exception. We were thrilled when Jo Dee called us to schedule her session with her pug, Nicco. Although I consider myself a “large dog person,” I keep finding myself drawn to small dogs as well. I guess that makes me an all around fan of dogs.
Nicco is so full of personality and gusto. We had a ton of fun the morning of their shoot.

As the boys are getting ready for a serious Nerf battle in the basement, I am still playing catch up with our senior portrait blog posts. I love the sheer joy in Martina’s face as she is tossing the grass seeds in the air.

You really can’t get any more honest than these family portraits. They day I photographed Mel and her family, it turned out that Ali had a double ear infection.Despite that, I love how the tenuous relationship (for that day anyways) between Ali and Alexis was captured.
