2009 Begins!! 2009-02-03

Wow! 2008 was such a great year for us, but I am re-energized and ready to start 2009! We have already completed our first wedding of the year last Saturday and we are starting full force this weekend with a double photo/video SDE extravaganza. I am so happy with the clients we have and I am excited to meet many more. I thought I would share one image from a recent engagement session that I am currently working on. Full post to come soon! Brianne & Justin || Engagement 2009-02-12

For Brianne & Justin’s engagement session we wanted to explore a new location. It is so inspiring to go to a new place and try out new compositions. Brianne & Justin were a ton of fun and never questioned us when we asked them to climb onto deserted freeways, logs, into bushes, down paths and run holding hands many, many times. These two have been together for a long time and it shows! I love the way that they look at each other and hold each other with ease. We can’t wait for their wedding in May and we are excited that we will be putting together a signature book with their images!

Katie & Joe|| Wedding SDE 2009-02-16

I wanted to share Katie & Joe’s wedding SDE while we are away at WPPI. . Katie & Joe’s wedding was absolutely amazing! Katie & Joe are awesome people. They are a blast to work with and trust us to create beautiful images for them. Plus you can totally see the love they have for each other. One of my favorite parts of the wedding was Joe’s reaction to Katie walking towards him during the First Look. We did some photos at the Golf Course but when the opportunity arose to go offsite and shoot at a dock we were all for it. What we didn’t know was that we were going to end up having Katie & Joe walk into a bunch of twigs for the shoot. Even though it was a bit tricky, I am really happy with how the images turned out! As Katie’s sister kelsey said, the site was “epic.” And that is how I feel about the SDE. So sit back and enjoy the video we played at their reception.

Because every post is better with an image I thought I would share one image from the day! Also, once we return from WPPI I am going to do a write up about doing both CINEMA and PHOTO at one wedding.

Sushi al la awesome 2009-02-23

Danielle and I made a pact to start making our own lunches everyday, should be fun. Heres a taste of what I’m having for tomorrows lunch!!!!! Homemade sushi! BOOYEAH! MIND|Castle Cafe style with Cucumber, Avocado, and some succulent extra firm tofu.

Vegas WPPI 2009 + Photobooth Lovin’ 2009-02-24

Danielle and I had a great time at WPPI in Las Vegas this year. We are deeply grateful to have met all the incredibly talented, friendly, and passionate people there who share in the love of capturing beautiful imagery. The whole experience was unforgettable and we are definitely going next year.

Here are a couple photos that we shot with the new wide format polaroid-esque camera they we got at the trade show. Also, as you may know, Danielle and I are pretty much addicted to photobooths….and we cannot pass up any opportunity not to get it one and rock it out like we used to back in the day at the Central Washington State Fair in highschool ( btw, the Central Washington State Fair was pretty much the coolest thing to go to before the advent of attaining a drivers license)

While I was looking through a cupboard last night I stumbled upon some older photobooth slides from a wedding that Danielle and I shot last summer in the San Juans. I rescanned them and thought I might throw them up on the blog
