Briana Melom, MA, BSW, is licensed to officiate weddings throughout the state of Minnesota. She holds a master's degree in theology and the arts from United Theological Seminary and a bachelor's degree in social work.

Briana has experience in many faith traditions and religious denominations:

  -  raised Lutheran

  -  attended Catholic spiritual direction & spiritual retreats

  -  graduated from a liberal Protestant (UCC) seminary

  -  coursework in Buddhism, Native American Theologies &

     Christianity

  -  mentored in officiating weddings by Unitarian Universalist ministers

Briana is the former coordinator of Worship Arts, Young Adult & Youth Ministry at Unity Church - Unitarian in St. Paul, MN.  She has extensive experience in writing, public speaking and creating worship services. 

Prior to attending seminary, Briana served as director of education and family services for the Mayo Clinic Alzheimer's Disease Research Center.  She co-wrote the book Mayo Clinic on Alzheimer's Disease and has written a number of articles on spirituality and family caregiving.
