Hiring Heather Hall was the only bad decision I made for my wedding. Firing her after trying to work with her for one arduous month was the best. She was difficult to get a hold of, incredibly slow, and did not listen to the details of my wedding, showing us venues that were not at all what we were interested in and that were too small for our wedding size.
It is partly our fault, though, because we'd seen so many positive reviews of Mona Lisa Events, and assumed that had meant Heather - instead, the majority of those reviews were for her predecessor. Heather was content to let herself stay in the background and did not lead or take charge of any of our visits, and by the end of my experience with her, I was happy to never see her again.
Clearly, I had a bad experience, and if a bride is not in a rush or has a tight timeline, and doesn't mind an events coordinator who takes a back seat to the planning, then Heather might work for you. I believe she broke her contract, but refused to honor it and refund us any of our original deposit, and in the end, we lost over $2000. Even then, it didn't seem too high a price to not have to work with her any longer. Work with her at your own risk.
