I just finished working on a custom order for a bride that wanted to have stargazer lilies adorning her entire event. I have to say I enjoyed making these arrangements immensly and seeing them as a finished product makes me proud.
I hope that once the wedding day is done and things settle the bride will send me pictures to post and feature for you all to see here, but in the meantime I wanted to share photos of what I have put together in a very short amount of time for a bride on a budget.
This is the color of the bridesmaids dresses, which I took around with me as I handpicked every flower...

The Bridal Bouquet...

The Maid of Honour Bouquet

The Bridesmaid Bouquet

The simple boutonniere's for groomsmen and special guests

The Grooms Boutonniere:
This boutonniere is set in a silver cone with a pin for easy pinning.

The Medium Mother's Corsages:
These feature a stargazer lily as well as two small roses and sheer white ribbons

The small Grandmother's or Special Guest Corsages

The Medium Centerpieces

Large Centerpieces :
The bride is not fond of round and tight flowers, so we created an airy and sweet bridal looking piece for her. These are large and made to fit the vases the bride picked out prior to ordering flowers. The stems are covered in green fabric and there is tulle beneath the blooms.

Making special orders is perhaps my most treasured work. I choose every flower and accessory personally, I design arrangements to fit the specifications, style and budget of the bride. I carefully create the arrangements and make sure they are secure and in place. All stems are properly placed and covered with fabric if that is what is desired. Ribbons are attached, bows get created and every flower is secured with glue and wire (which remains invisible) to make sure the arrangements are sturdy. It takes a lot of work, but as you can see, it's worth it!

My latest custom order through etsy is complete. I am so excited and honored to continue working with brides outside of my local area. I love having email conversations back and forward with the bride and her family.
I realize now how amazingly fast one person can get to know another through the internet and how small and connected the world has become.
Alright, I shall stop babbling and show you the flowers you've been waiting to see :)
The bride loves strgazer lilies but her colors are blue, white and silver... and this is the beauty of working with silk flowers... If there is a silk flower in the color you want, I will find it somewhere, somehow :)

The Maid of Honour Bouquet:
The Corsages: 2 Small and 2 Medium

The Groomsmen Boutonniere's:

This was a rush order that was completed in under a week. I know how frustrating it is trying to find what you want and need close to a wedding so I do what I can to accomdate your needs.
This order included 36 Loose Iris and Blue Stargazers in assorted sizes for decorating purposes.
I always send a free quality toss bouquet with large orders as a gift to you.

Thus far, this order has probably been my favorite. The bride wanted something completely different and instead of traditional wedding flowers, she wanted a combination of Dahlias and Orchids.
After emailing with her back and forward about things she likes and doesn't like I came up with this...
The Bridal Bouquet

Her colors are a burgandy wine with mixed fading wine-like heus to white.
She wanted something of a nice size, not tiny, not large but also clean and tight.
She didn't want your average nosegay or spray bouquet. She doesn't like a lot of greens or ferns showing.
Although it took some time, I did manage to find the perfect combination of wine-colored dahlias and matching orchids. It was oddly difficult to find shades that would match in the style of orchid the bride had requested. She wanted an orchid with a bell lip and mostly the colors just don't match up well with the burgandy dahlias.
She wanted the groom to have a special boutonniere and she also requested to have pinbacks instead of pin corsages. This makes the boutoonniere more secure and there is less change that it will come off during the reception.
The Grooms Boutonniere
The Groomsmen boutonniere's were made with one single orchid:

The Bridesmaids:
These ladies have burgandy dresses, therefore we just switched the colors around a little.

And she was very pleased :)

I had an interesting thing happen recently. Another etsy seller contacted me because her future sister in law was in distress. She was due to have her wedding in Vegas in a few weeks and the flowers she ordered from a store on ebay turned out to be the wrong thing for her.
Now the bride was on an even stricter budget, and unsure of where to turn.
It is my personal oppinion that if you have a client that needs your help and you don't give her what she wants the first time, there are several steps a business owner has to take to make sure that client gets what they came to you for, especially for something as important as a WEDDING -- and because it was so close to the wedding date.
There is nothing like a bride in distress! This, of course, makes the new florist a little nervous, especially considering the time crunch. After receiving pictures of what the bride had in mind and taking the fact that this bride was going to have to fly with her flowers, this is what I came up with :)
