Mount Vernon Unitarian Church

Located on a beautiful 7 acre campus, 4 miles south of Alexandria, Hollin Hall and the Meeting House and their mature boxwood gardens offer a unique setting for your ceremony and reception.

Located only 4 miles south of historic Old Town Alexandria, Hollin Hall and the Meeting House are situated on a 7-acre campus that was originally a part of George Mason's estate.  They offer a unique setting for weddings, receptions, parties and rehearsal dinners.
  Hollin Hall is a gracious Georgian manor house surrounded by mature boxwood gardens.  It  features four separate rooms, a formal entry hall, and modern kitchen. Events can spread out onto the lovely wisteria-arbored terrace in the back of Hollin Hall next to our boxwood maze.  The building accommodates 140 people standing or 100 people seated.  Hollin Hall is listed on the Fairfax County Inventory of Historic Sites.   The Meeting House is a spacious, contemporary site for larger weddings and receptions. With clean, simple lines, warm hardwood floors and a soaring ceiling, this is a wonderful reception location for dining, music and dancing. The Meeting House accommodates 225 people standing or 150-175 people seated with an ample dance floor.  A lovely slate terrace, adjoining the Meeting House and facing the walled boxwood garden, provides an outdoor cocktail space for up to 150 people.
A beautiful curved brick wall surrounds our romantic, 3-tiered boxwood garden that is the perfect site for weddings. Photographic opportunities abound in the garden and throughout our grounds. We are certified a Green Sanctuary by Fairfax County for our rain gardens to catch run-off; we recycle glass, plastic, and paper; we use energy-saving lights and appliances.
