Let’s be honest… In the joyful, yet sleepless, weeks after the birth of your baby, who really has time to think about choosing baby announcements? We understand! We put together a few insider tips to getting those baby announcements out in the mail so that you can focus your time on more important things – like kissing those baby toes… or showering.

Custom Baby Announcements!
Pre-Select your Birth Announcement Whether shopping online or working with your local stationery store, pre-select a birth announcement before the baby’s arrival. Searching through numerous baby announcements after the baby’s arrival will mean less time staring at your beautiful newborn. Even narrowing down your choices to 2 or 3 is a big post-baby time saver! If you’ve decided to keep the baby’s gender a surprise, you can choose a baby announcement that is available in pink or blue.

Pre-Ship your Envelopes At Page, we offer the option to pre-ship your envelopes to give you a super time saver for after the baby is born. You can stamp and address those envelopes so they are ready to go. Once your birth announcements arrive, it’s as simple as a walk to the mailbox.
If you’ve decided to go with our baby announcements, don’t forget to keep your focus!
Focus on the baby. Friends and family can see his room, his crib and his favorite snuggle toy on Facebook. The birth announcement photo should focus on that sweet face and those kissable cheeks.

Focus on that sweet face!
Focus on quality. Camera phones and smart phone photo-editing apps are great! But, not always for high-resolution printing. If you aren’t using a professional photographer, grab your real camera – remember those? Or ask a friend who is camera savvy to help you get a great pic. The quality will make a difference that you’ll be happy with.
Have any new parent time saving tips of your own? We’d love to hear them in the comments!

It’s an exciting time of year in mailboxes across the country. High school seniors and their families are on the daily watch for those college acceptance letters. We remember those days of anticipation and anxiety. And those feelings didn’t end with the arrival of the acceptance letter, since now it was decision time. It’s no small decision – selecting what could determine the course of your career, your life, your relationships. It’s a little nervewracking just thinking about it now!
Congratulate your college bound loved one on their acceptance and their decision with a set of customized stationery. The wide collegiate stripes on this digitally printed, flat note card can be customized to the university colors of your choice.

Richmond Weddings
If you live in Virginia you might be wondering where to your shopping for to find Richmond wedding invitations and wedding stationery. There are several sources available, but there is one in particular I highly recommend. I will tell you why.
Dabbling in design is one thing but know and practicing design is another. Having your own printing company is yet another level above the competition. Designing a wedding invitation is something that many claim to be able to do. The problem is most of the stores and consultants you deal with locally have no idea what about how to really do it because they haven’t the experience with all aspects of the creating the invitation. They simply take the order and send it to a company like Crane’s or William Arthur.
The better solution is to have a real design work on your invitation. A designer who has been trained in not just random design like packaging, but specifically in typography where it really matters for products like wedding invitations and stationery. You would also want that designer to have some real hands on experience working with someone who was a leading authority on weddings and maybe even had a a publishing company like Martha Stewart. Optimally this designer would have several years of working one on one with Martha Stewart directly each day. Another characteristic you would look for is if she was well versed in printing, both letterpress and digital printing and how much knowledge she had in those areas. Ideally she would have started her own design or boutique printing company that specializes not only wedding stationery but in all aspects of design for Richmond weddings and events.
For clients in Richmond Va they are indeed lucky to have this very valuable resource available right in their backyard. You see, Sue Corral started Design Corral and is now available for consultations about your wedding invitations, baby announcements or personal stationery at affordable prices. Contact her and see what she can do for your event.

If you are one the many that send Christmas cards each year then this Christmas promises to offer many new designs that will have you clamoring for your wallet. There are really two aspects that you can look at when you decide to order. Those options are letterpress Christmas cards and digitally printed photo Christmas cards. We won’t get into handmade, but that is always an option!
But seriously, if you are really looking for a nice card you could choose either process and they would look wonderful. The question is how much do you want to spend and how quickly you need them. Of course, during peak holiday rush nothing is going to be fast, but if you are prudent, you can get the earlybird discounts prior to the rush and also get a nice discount.
I know Page Stationery is offering 10% off on their Christmas photo cards until October 1, 2011 and some shipping incentives as well. Their new line of digital photo Christmas cards is going to be spectacular. Worth a look!

Few occasions can really justify hiring your own designer but having a baby and coordinating the baby stationery to you wishes is one you might consider, if for no other reason than to reduce stress. Having a baby is stressful and the last month prior to birth is extremely stressful. So why not use those few weeks to go ahead and get the majority of the birth announcement completed. Once you have your child you can then just email the designer the required date, weight and length and you will be done. Much easier right?
This is another reason I go for your personal stationery designer. You can get a sense of their design sensibilities and then hand over the reigns. This also be construed as a stationery if this is what you prefer. I like the design boutiques where the designer is both printer and designer and knows exactly what to expect from either a digital or letterpress technique when it come to your announcements.
I have seen some amazing photo birth announcements produced like this for new parents and it really helped resolve many of the headaches of dealing with the stationery part. The photo really adds a new dimension to the standard announcement and worth considering. This gives you time to focus on more important things like the baby name and getting the baby room all set.
Remember too that the birth announcements will give your friends and family a snap shot of your tastes and the announcement should play into that as well and be as tasteful as possible without going over budget. You might even want to coordinate the announcements along with the baby shower if you had one. It isn’t required but might add a nice touch for those who attended. Be sure you get all the details you want to make these the most unique baby announcements and don’t overlook anything. Typos can be problematic but if you plan it early as I suggest, these should all be taken care of by the time they are finalized. More importantly, just be you and relax during this whole process!
