Beware should you have to cancel with this venue. Two weeks before the date of my wedding reception, my husband (both he and I are in the military) found out that he was unexpectedly being deployed early. I contacted the venue immediately and sent several emails informing her of the situation, to which included contact information for his chain of command. After she made no attempt to verify, she assumed I was acting in bad faith and sent me the most hate filled email I have ever received. Words cannot describe the atrocities she spoke of (words to the effect that my husband would come back injured). Her email also said that she would not abide by the contract and issue any refund. She has since agreed to abide by the contract and the refund policy therein. Up until this predicament, she was wonderful to work with. However, beware should you have to cancel.
