Joshua M. Barut
Born in Maui, Hawaii, Joshua has always had a passion for the beauty of his natural surroundings. A lover of the arts since childhood, Joshua loved painting, drawing, and printmaking. It was his enthusiasm for these pursuits that eventually got him to pick up the camera. Joshua began borrowing his dad’s Fuji 110mm camera and began taking family pictures. Since then, he has been obsessed with perfecting his craft, constantly pushing himself to create better, more beautiful images. He began his career as a photographer while working in photo labs in Hawaii. Joshua skillfully blends traditional techniques with spontaneous photojournalism. The striking quality of his photographs is rooted in the basics: clean, simple compositions, a candid eye toward his subjects, and the ability to step out of the way to allow the breathtaking beauty of the Scenery speak for itself.

Jennifer R. Barut

Jennifer, also born and raised in Maui, Hawaii, is the daughter of a photographer. She has been processing film since the age of twelve. The love and joy working with children provided her the natural talent of children’s photography. Also, the love for the tropical flowers of Hawaii has brought her to capture their beauty through her own eyes. Jennifer, though originally trained as a black and white processor she was involved in photography since childhood. Jennifer experienced a renewed enthusiasm and appreciation for photography after meeting her future husband. Experiencing her vivid photography of the flora and fauna of the area give the effect of being immersed in the moment with the photographer. Her color photography depicts her love of composition that draws the eye to the interplay of light, color and shadow.
