We do the following to help our environment: We shoot digital imagery - this alone helps our environment immensely by eliminating contaminants in our water system that go along with the traditional silver halide processes. We provide our clients with only what they need. We have preconfigured packages to give them an idea. We recommend that a client only order items that they will use and not a bunch of photos that will just lay in a drawer somewhere for years to come. We use a LOCAL photographic lab for any printing we do (with the exception of photobooks - they don't offer them yet). We believe that by using local labs we are reducing carbon emissions from delivery vehicles and we are helping our local economy. We provide our clients with their images on a disk verses gobs of printed images. This allows them to selectivly print what they need. We transmit our agreements to clients electronically as a PDF verses mailing them snail mail - this reduces fossil fuel consumption and emissions. They do send us a signed copy - but minimal paper is used to produce the signed contract. We have short formed our contact to a 2 page agreement - which can be printed double sided. We do not produces tons of literature for distribution. We distribute materials via email in PDF format. We use high capacity rechargable batteries in our flash units and equipment to ensure minimal landfill pollutants with dead one-time batteries. I would say overall we are doing our best to be green!
