The Lewis – Evans wedding took place in Asheville North Carolina at the magnificent James Madison Chiles House. With the Spanish villa architecture of the home and the beautiful living flowers by Floraevents, the evening had a warm and friendly atmosphere. The food was a mix of their hometown favorites, very cleverly incorporated by The Colorful Palate.

Stephanie and Norm Shafer were married on Saturday September 19th.
The details of this wedding worked perfectly with the beautiful mountain surroundings.

“LOGAN COLE JONES” as he will adamantly explain is his name, was just adorable as the flower boy with his “sippy” cup .

The hubby is celebrating a big birthday today, number 30! For his 25th I threw him a surprise cookout so this time we had to top that. We figured a week at the OBX would do! We are going to enjoy some homemade pho, fresh rolls and lemon pound cake. Here’s to the hubs, cheers on 30 years! I love you!
Here’s a photo his father took of him yesterday getting ready to paddle the sound.

I am spending the week in Avon with my family. The weather is gorgeous, the water is refreshing, and the food is divine!
Yesterday morning we took Darby to the beach to play in the waves and later in the afternoon we pulled out the kayaks to explore the canals and sound. My father in law made shrimp cocktail with corn, potatoes, peppers and onions for dinner. So good! Then we spent the evening on the screened porch with cold beers and enjoyed some lightning over the sound.
This morning the hubby made blueberry waffles with maple syrup for everyone. It’s time to start lathering on the sunscreen and hit the beach for some fun in the sun and kite flying.
Here’s a couple photos my father in law took.

Another cousin gets hitched! I have a lot of cousins on my dad’s side and they are slowly approaching the marrying stage of life. Last year’s wedding was Andy in New York, this year we have two to attend – Alex in Ohio and then Katy in Indiana this fall. I really enjoy going back to the north for these weddings and visiting with the family. So whose next? We don’t have a “Stalter” wedding for next year yet. Pete or Matt, get on it!
Alex and Ang were married in Rossford, OH at All Saints Catholic Church and the reception took place at St. George Orthodox Cathedral. Alex drove the wedding party to the reception in Rossford’s new fire truck – a fitting way for a fireman/paramedic and his new bride (who happens to be a nurse) to arrive.
