In my inbox this morning, I got an email from Jim of
Boston Wedding Films with a little sneak preview of Laura and Eric's wedding last Saturday at
St. John the Baptist and the
Four Seasons Boston Hotel. It's only 53 seconds, but you can definitely see a little peek of some fun elements of the day!! I cannot wait to see more footage :)
A big recap of the wedding day will be on the blog tomorrow!! Thanks so much Jim, for sharing this video with me!

This upcoming Saturday, I'm coordinating Daniella and Mark's wedding at the
Taj Boston Hotel! It's going to be amazing, especially because they hired one of my favorite photographers in Boston, Leah Haydock of
Leah Haydock Photography. Leah was kind enough to share some photos from their engagement session in NYC... they are quite a stunning couple together!!

This past weekend was such a wonderful wedding weekend for Laura & Eric, with their rehearsal dinner at the
Taj Boston Hotel on Friday night, and their wedding at the
Four Seasons Hotel on Saturday night. I worked closely with Judy, the mother of the groom, to plan an elegant rehearsal dinner with touches of the Caribbean.
The rehearsal dinner for 70 guests was held on the rooftop of the
Taj Boston Hotel, with a cocktail hour where guests enjoyed an open bar along with passed hors d'oeuvres of truffled fontina risotto fritters, mini lobster clubs, coconut shrimp with curry sauce, and juniper berry duck on sweet potato tarts. The rooftop at the Taj wraps around three sides of the building, with large windows offering stunning views of Boston. White chiavari chairs, raspberry linens from
Rentals Unlimited, and bright floral arrangements of peonies and phalaenopsis orchids decorated the tables. Escort cards, written out by
Pink Orchid Weddings, were placed in a sunburst pattern around a beautiful floral arrangement from William Mizuta Private Florist, and family photos of the couple were placed around the rooftop. Music for the evening was provided by a steel drum trio from
Music Management.
The dinner area was filled with more gorgeous florals from William Mizuta Private Florist, and various beautiful sea shells at each place setting. Guests were treated to an appetizer of crab and sweet corn bisque, an entree duo of chicken and baked gulf shrimp, and a passion fruit cheesecake with coconut macaroon, mango sorbet, & tropical salsa for dessert. There was also a surprise red velvet groom's cake from
Party Favors in the shape of a sailboat that acted as a second dessert. Many wonderful toasts were given throughout the night, as well as a surprise singing performance from Laura's 12 year old Jr. bridesmaid.
After the sun went down, the lighting in the room from
Suzanne B. Lowell Lighting & Design, really made the room pop with color. The rehearsal dinner was photographed by
Bryce Vickmark Photography, and filmed by
Boston Wedding Films. For now, here are some photos that I took of the lovely details!

Judy, it was such a pleasure working with you on this event, and if you ever find yourself back in Boston, please do let me know so I can visit you!

This past Saturday, I was the coordinator for Linan and Steven's wedding at the
Hyatt Harborside Hotel. It was an absolutely gorgeous and sunny day, and the bride got ready with hair and makeup at the hotel with her two bridesmaids. The bridal party wore turquoise halter dresses and carried white bouquets of roses, ranunculus, and freesias. The bride wore a beautiful strapless ivory gown, red
Kate Spade heels, and carried a red bouquet of cymbidium orchids, roses, and ranunculus. All of the bouquets and florals for the wedding were created by Honey of
Lotus Designs.
The bride and groom opted to do a first look, which gave their photographer, Krista Guenin of
Krista Photography, plenty of time to do lots of portraits of the couple and their wedding party prior to the ceremony. The hotel has an absolutely gorgeous view of the Boston city skyline, and the area next to the water was the perfect location for the first look.
The ceremony was held in the Olympia Room at the hotel, with DJ Nick Ferrington of
Beat Train Productions playing a mix of classical music for the processional and the recessional. The ceremony was short and sweet, and they also incorporated a traditional Chinese tea ceremony into it as well. The guests showered the newlyweds with red rose petals as they walked down the aisle for the recessional.
Cocktail hour was held in the Skyline Ballroom, where guests enjoyed passed hors d'oeuvres of beef wellington, bacon wrapped scallops, melon with prosciutto, lemon poached shrimp, and coconut lobster with vanilla aioli. The reception was held in the same room, where silver Chiavari chairs surrounded guest tables that were topped with ivory bengaline linens, lush low centerpieces of red roses, votive candles, and little favor boxes with the Chinese characters for double happiness that contained Lindt chocolates at each place setting. As guests sat down for dinner, they were treated to a incredibly sweet slideshow of the bride & groom followed by a formal and choreographed first dance, complete with a dip! The four course dinner consisted of an appetizer of scallops, a spinach radicchio strawberry salad, entree choices of strip loin or halibut, and wedding cake from
Montilio's. Here are a few detail photos of the day!

Once dinner started, the Skyline Ballroom had floor to ceiling views of a gorgeous sunset...

Linan and Steven, it was so great getting to know you over the last year! Enjoy your married life in California, and I wish you the very best.
