Environmentally conscious and socially responsible catering is something that Plum is deeply committed to. We believe that every little bit can make a difference and our combination of initiatives is helping to make us an industry leader in green catering. Here’s how Plum is making a difference each day:
- Our organic waste is composted. This not only reduces the amount of waste going to landfills, but it also allows us to feed our garden of fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs with rich, flavorful nutrients. It also helps us teach our children about sustainability and respect for nature.
- All disposable utensils, paper, plates, cups, and shopping bags are made of bio-friendly, compostable materials.
- Our in-store menus are constantly changing to reflect the season’s freshest ingredients. We use local ingredients whenever possible.
- By offering both in-store food sales and full-service catering, Plum minimizes waste.
- We believe that a healthy environment starts with a healthy diet. We use very little butter and simple sugars; instead relying on inherent flavors, colors, and unique textures of each ingredient.
- Our store uses bio-friendly cleaning products, recycled paper, and low voltage lighting.

Plum Pure Foods is a great find! I love the fact they use organic products and are environmentally aware. Not only are they great caterers for weddings, but they also have an adorable gourmet Prepared Food & Cheese Shop. Great place for lunch too!
