I've joined forces with LeahAndMark.com and +Laura to create the most awesome and complete wedding photography team humanly possible. My style is a little vintage, a little minimalistic, and a lot of awesome. Come check out my shots and my rates! I'd love to chat with you.

New Internships 2010-10-22

So, for those of you who may not know, I'm currently doing three {yes, THREE} internships. I work with Everything Wedding as a second shooter/intern, I just joined Karen Nickels Photography as her second shooter/assistant, and I literally {as of last night} joined the ranks of the LeahandMark interns, as well. On top of all of this, I, of COURSE, am doing my own shoots, as well. Thus far? It's amazing.

Anywho, just wanted to make a quick plug for my newest gig: http://leahandmark.com/intern/raven/

And be sure to check out the other interns, too! Everyone's AWESOME! :)

Here are some shots from our first night: {you may see a familiar face; Nick, my second shooter and boyfriend, was one of our wonderful models}

Albums, CD Cases, and a New Bag! - Atlanta Wedding and Portrait Photographer 2010-10-28

Hi world! I'm working on a pile of images and projects right now, all coming soon to the blog. I've got three weddings, a bridal shoot, a couples shoot, and a few shoots with L&M that I'm working on, but in the meantime, products! Just so you know a little about some of the products that I offer and also so you know that yes! I'm still alive! :)

This is an example of the wedding album that comes with some of the wedding packages. Each album is custom-designed down to the last detail. I design the layout depending on the couple and their personal style, the cover fabric according to their choices, etc. This one was created specifically for Will & Kate {and you'll be seeing Kate soon in her horseback bridal session!}. In fact, the vintage leather cover was chosen because the color is "Saddle," which was too perfect to pass by. :)

In this album, the pages lay flat - which I'm a big fan of, but is optional; you can always opt for the regular book-style pages - and just like in the rest of the albums, the pages are thick. And unless you choose for me not to, I always personalize the front cover.

This next product is an example of a CD case that comes with every wedding package {and some other packages, too!}. Again, they're custom designed. This one is for Chris & Chas {whom you haven't met yet, but soon!} for their "Apple of My Eye" wedding on 10.10.10. I loooove these CD cases. They really dress it up! And the cover I chose for this case is a metallic paper, which really makes the colors pop!

And last, but certainly not least - well, to me, anyway - is my brand new camera bag! I've been dying for one for a while now, and I found Xcess Rize on Etsy and fell in love with this pattern! Though it's not a rough-n-tumble bag that could withstand anything, it's pretty and functional and super comfortable.

And inside has great pockets for lenses and other goodies - like a Kashi bar, some CF cards, and some batteries, for example, haha - all tucked into a bright green liner all the better to see in those dark reception halls! I'll let you know how it ends up working out, but I think it'll be great!

Well, that's all for now! I'll be back soon with photos galore! G'nite! (more...)

Chris & Chas's "Apple of my Eye" Wedding - Atlanta Georgia Wedding Photographer 2010-11-04

Let me preface this blog entry by saying that WE LOVED THIS WEDDING. Not that we've yet done a wedding that we haven't loved, but this one made me cry. Which doesn't take much, but I digress. Everyone was so open, and friendly, and kind, and I consider anything a total success if the people I shoot hug me at the end of it, or at least feel comfortable with me hugging them. Seriously, that's how I measure things. Okay, on to the wedding!

Be warned, I had trouble narrowing down! :D

Chastity had two pairs of shoes for the wedding - BOTH fabulous - one white pair for the ceremony and one HOT pair of red for the reception!

You know you love my sense of humor. :P

I asked Dawn, a maid of honor, for somewhere with windows, and she gave me THIS:

Thanks again, Dawn!

BAM!

In the meantime, the boys were having a ball messing around and getting dressed {and helping little I and J get ready}.

Ahh, I'm a sucker for tiny replicas of big things!

The toy of choice for the day. :D

Then we went outside with the boys and got a little crazy.

Coolest. Kid. EVER.

Then it was finally time! The ceremony was the longest we had seen yet, and was chock full of fun stuff!

There were TWO singers:

A dancer:

Candle lighting:

And so much more!

We LOVED this chandelier! Gorgeous sanctuary.

Hey, mama! She was so cute.

The flowergirls:

A bellringer! {there were three total}:

Chastity was GLOWING when she came down:

All eyes were on her, but her eyes were on Chris.

All my ladies showing me some leg:

The three of us grabbed a little private time:

Love, love, love this.

Then we hit the reception! Which was also full of cool stuff:

The dramatic wedding cake:

The super cute groom's cake {or cupcakes, anyway}:

Heartfelt toasts:

Romantic dancing:

Sneaky eating: {LOL!}

Me stealing the rings again:

This awesome couple, who taught us a thing or two about how dancing and marriage are similar:

Sneaky Chastity before throwing her bouquet:

Isaiah was ready to catch the garter!:

Daddy quickly vetoed this, haha!

And a special performance by the groom and his men:

Oh God, it was SO awesome! My face hurt from smiling so much! Super cute. Guys, take notes.

Then, we wrapped it up with a bubbly exit:

Grabbed a shot in the car:

And headed away feeling - and looking - like royalty!:
