I'm a Portland, OR based interfaith minister specializing in custom wedding, commitment, and handfasting ceremonies in Oregon and Washington.

I am an Interfaith minister based in Portland, OR who specializes in helping the couple create a special ceremony that is about and speaks to them.  I officiate weddings because I love them.  I first became involved in the business after friends wanted a Renaissance theme wedding and had difficulty in finding someone who was willing to perform the ceremony they provided at the venue they chose without an inconvenient number of requirements.  I do not require that a couple go to my church for a set number of Sundays.  I do not require--though I strongly encourage--pre-marital counseling.  I offer a huge selection of ceremonies and parts of ceremonies to choose from and welcome their own contributions.

Flexibility is key, and I have a contract to make sure everything is in writing so there is clarity on expectations.  The most important point made in the contract is that I will do everything in my power to make sure that someone is there to officiate should I become ill or injured.  I've had too many brides call me the day of their wedding looking desperately for a substitute when their officiant informed them that he or she would not be there that day.  I will not do that to any couple I work with.

I have officiated everything from small backyard weddings with just witnesses and the couple up to full formal affairs with large numbers of bridesmaids, junior bridesmaids, junior groomsmen, a ring-bearer, etc.  For theme weddings, I have a few costumes or am open to renting as necessary.  I take weddings very seriously, but believe that they should still be fun and happy events.
