An Error Corrected 2011-03-09

It was brought to my attention, Dear Readers, that one of my earlier posts, Home, Home on the Shooting Range, didn't display any content.

Horrors!

The problem has been solved, and you are now heartily encouraged to view the post as it was originally intended.

New Clients: Stephanie and James 2011-03-09

I recently got to spend some quality time in Litchfield Park with two of my more recent wedding clients, Stephanie and James. Here are some of my favorite images from the Engagement Portrait Session.

I incorporate these informal portrait sessions with every wedding package. I find them invaluable in  building rapport with my clients and making them comfortable with my style and approach before the wedding day.

Stay tuned for images from their wedding in April!

Namaste, dude! 2011-03-07

Remember that party I went to awhile back, for Pam and Pankaj?

Rockin'. Good. Time.
Traditional food was prepared on-site in a real Tandoor oven. (Love me some naan!) There was music in languages I couldn't understand, which I always think is cool. Shared styles and rituals brought together young and old.

And I brought shots: Mild Mannered Mangoes. The original recipe is below.

2 parts light rum
1 part dark rum
1 part pineapple rum
1 part peach schapps
4 parts Juicy Juice Mango (or whatever mango-ish juice your local grocery has in stock on a Saturday night)
Shake, chill, serve, serve some more.
[I have a feeling this recipe is going to be revised with experience, so keep your peepers peeled for an update.]

My Orchid Is Blooming! 2011-03-03

No, that is not an obscure double entendre.
I have been trying to sustain an orchid in the desert for about four years now. It dazzled with blossom the first year...and never again. Until now!
[Insert Horticultural Happy Dance here]

Three years in the makingOoooooh! Aaaaaaah!

Skeptics Abroad 2011-03-04

Well, OK, not really abroad. But the George and Dragon English Pub, on Central Avenue, does give one the feeling of being in Jolly Olde England. We, of the Skeptics In The Pub meetup group, gathered here for a change, and hopefully not for the last time.

Skeptics IN THE PUB...what did you think we did, knit?

They offer the entire spectrum of British cuisine from Fish & Chips to Bangers & Mash. They probably have more than just Guiness and Harp on tap, but that was as far as I got.
Cheers!
