I was at a loss and a place that made me question what I was doing and whether or not I was going down the right path. Then something happened - my subconscious led me to two people that I would have never met if my self confidence hadn't been rattled.
I decided to promote my business. Even when I didn't know what or how I knew that I had to do something to propel myself forward or drown.
Some times you don't find the answers - they find you.

At first you search on your own, and then you search with the help of your friends and then by accident the light shines through the forest and it leads you home. My light led me to Joseph Charlton and Chad Butler of
Butler and Charlton Cinematography.
These young men have a talent that comes from something deeper then mere technical expertise. When I met Chad I was surprised by his youth but he is well spoken, confident and made me feel at ease with what I had in mind. Then I met Joseph and was immediately put at ease with his smile, poise and certainty. I knew at that point that it was a good match.
Together, they move in a fluid motion and seem to work off of each other, both giving direction silently and almost finishing each other's thoughts.
I kept in constant contact with Chad before the video shoot giving him an onslaught of ideas (which happened to come to me while i was driving) and we were excited!
I NEVER dreamed in a million years that the finished video would make me feel like something other (something better) than what I am... even though we shot for a few hours to dwindle the final edit to a minute 30 is something that is amazing to me... and to convey exactly what I wanted to convey in that short amount of time is utterly MOTIVATIONAL.
I can not express enough what they have done for my soul and the boost that they gave me to be able to look up again and dream.
I will forever be grateful and hope to work with them again soon

Some women exude a self confidence that surpasses any kind of measure. They radiate beauty, experience, self-knowledge, and character that is contagious.
I had the pleasure of shooting a woman who I think is beautiful. From the moment I saw her at a wedding I was photographing I thought of how beautiful she is. Her smile was infectious and I couldn't take my eyes off of her.
She contacted me to do a shoot because she wanted to give some photos to her husband. She had a surprise because she races cars. She wanted to do a pinup shoot with the car. I was in!
All though I won't be posting any photos to this blog because she hasn't given him his photos yet, I hope that woman will understand that you don't have to be rail thin with hair down to your waist to be considered beautiful.
Inner beauty and confidence will shine through every time! Once her husband sees the photographs I will post some photos but until then....I will leave you with this from one of my favorite poets.

I've recently (well not recently but for a few months now) questioned what I was doing and where I'm heading. I've been looking up alot...at the tree line into the clouds looking for answers but truly I should have been looking in. I know what I want. I want simplicity. I want peace. I want unconditional love.
I was sitting in my make-up chair yesterday with the beautiful and talented Leigh Ann Ehmann of
Make You LLC and we were discussing where my photography was going. We discussed themes and feelings and I told her that I want to convey an angelic feel to my photographs. That was the best way I could put it at the time. When I think of angels I think Peace, Love and Simplicity. Beauty in its raw form.
That is where I'm headed. Into the area of deeper affection for life and for the people within it.

There is nothing like being ignorant about code and all the things that make sites pretty. Especially from an artist point of view. You know what you want and you want it NOW. I am doing a
business upgrade for my Photography business and it's not easy.
Everyday I wake up intending to make changes to my crappy website and blog. I see it in my head what I want... but.. here is the kicker I don't know how to get it other than paying someone to do it.
I am on a mission to learn more about what I need to do to keep things fresh and have people contact me.
I've realize in my life that CHAOS rules. Not good!
Here goes nothing on my journey into hell. I'm laughing on the outside and crying on the inside because my brain all ready hurts.
I'll keep you posted.
