Shay Brown Events was amazing and worth every penny! It was such a relief to have the help of the whole crew and Amy was such a wonderful coordinator. She was patient and went above and beyond to get things prepared for the wedding. She even accommodated our dog, who we are clearly overly attached to, during our office visit knowing that I was driving from out of town on a tight schedule. She was such a huge help throughout the whole ceremony and reception as well. Even Dan, the groom, exclaimed to me, “Thank goodness for Amy the wedding coordinator!” She was such a pleasure to work with. All members of the wedding party said she was the perfect mix of making sure things got done, but without being uncomfortably pushy. As noted before, it was great to have a coordinator that was so familiar with all of the vendors and the venue as I think it made coordination a lot smoother. Everyone is still going on about how great the food, music, décor and photo-booth all were!

From the day we began working with Shay Brown Events I knew hiring a day-of planner was the right decision. We were planning a wedding from a distance, so Amy one of Shay Browns wedding co-coordinators help with site visits and envisioning the wedding was invaluable. She was organized and systematic, and especially good at ascertaining what Eli and I were hoping for before she suggested ideas. She asked questions we wouldn’t have known to ask, and helped us to avoid countless oversights.

As professional as Amy was during the preparatory stage, I was blown away with her help on the day of the wedding. Amy was careful to find moments when Eli and I were not talking to anyone to swoop in and ask us questions: were we ready to cut the cake, did we want to start the first dance yet, when did we want to end the music. I never felt like she was telling us what to do or rushing us or pulling us away from our celebration. Rather, that she was discretely helping to remind us of upcoming moments and helping us make the event happen as we wanted to in the moment. I cannot say enough positive things about how calm and patient and fun Amy was to work with during the ceremony and reception.

I also want to say how much I appreciate that Shay Brown was willing to work with us regarding contracts that we had already begun independently, not charging us a percentage on work we had done ourselves. At no point did I feel like hidden costs were sneaking their way into our contract.

Thank you for helping to make our wedding run so smoothly. Everyone had a blast!

We were so very pleased with the quality of service provided during the planning of the wedding, the day of the wedding, and even follow up after the wedding. We strongly recommend their services for anyone looking to have a minimum stress, maximum happiness and approval wedding. They are there for every step of the way making planning the wedding very fun and exciting!

Shay and staff were magnificent. We only discovered them 5 weeks before the wedding and were lucky enough they could accommodate our date. Shay organized our (bride and m-o-b) mostly random wishes, tastes and desires; derived from that floral selections, colors, and design; built around our budget; and presented the most breath-taking wedding and reception – exactly the look we wanted without our having been able to articulate it. It was so much more than we dared dream – so many special touches. Nothing had a “we’ve all seen this before” look and yet was tradition and elegant, but with a contemporary aspect that suited the event and location perfectly.

All this was done with such talent, energy and calmness. She is so knowledgeable regarding every aspect of weddings and was generous with ideas and suggestions in all areas. They worked exceedingly well with the on site staff and our other vendors. Shay Brown Events is the wisest investment we could possibly have made. In addition, Shay is such a lovely person that we both felt she became our friend, and that we were the most important clients she ever had.

I am only looking for someone to help in certain areas. One of the venue reps suggested Shay Brown. We chose another venue, but I remembered that and had liked her.The wedding is at the High Hampton Inn June 16 2012 with 150 people. I would be interested in talking to someone. Thank you .
