My daughter's wedding was almost one year ago - April 25, 2009. We made arrangements with Julie Brown of Simply Elegant Event & Floral Design for all the linens, floral centerpieces, backdrop (behind the headtable) and then also for the arch (decorated per the bride and groom requests) for the outdoor wedding, runner with rose petals (of the brides color selection). When we arrived at the wedding site it was breezy - and I was told that Julie and her assistants (children) were leaving to go to their next event even though the arch was not decorated (has one flower bouquet on it and the arch was falling down. The run way was not staying down so they used the "diamond" pins that were to be used for the flower bouquets as decoration and used them to secure (?) the runner. I asked Julie what about the archway as it was not even close to what they asked regarding the floral and greenery? What was she going to do about stabilizing the arch? She said she had to leave and left us like that! My sons went to the hardward store and bought something to keep the arch stablized but after it had already fallen (while Julie was there) it was embarrassing to see it. Then the petals for the runner were left for us in a plastic bags and were not even close to the colors that were promised! They actually looked moldy!
I have been trying to work with Julie since then regarding a partial refund of $ 2,000.00 (if repaid in 3 months I had agree to $1500.00). To date I have received $800.00 and I am not due $1200.00.
The services were terrible - unethical really. There are no excuses to leave a event that you were paid in advance for until your customer is satisfied. You had another event and no one to help you - I am sorry but I am not concerned with that. My daughter can not even have her pictures of the wedding in her album because it is such a sham.

I will not stop until I receive my $1200 due in full.
