4th Birthday Race Car Themed Cake 2012-02-10

This cake was ordered for a 4 year boy who loves cars. The sides of this cake were decorated with a yellow and orange flame pattern. The cake was topped with a checkered 4 to mimic the racing flags. We added a fondant modeled race car to the top of cake - green for the birthday boy's favorite color!

5th Birthday Party Favors - Chocolate Dipped Rice Krispie Treats with Pearls 2012-02-08

Our customer ordered these pink pearl party favors for her daughter's 5th birthday party held at a local dance studio. The rice krispie treats are dipped in milk chocolate and sprinkled wiht pink and white pearls. We added a pink ribbon and customer tag - so sweet

New Trends in Cupcakes, Class Wrap-up 2012-02-08

We recently taught our New Trends in Cupcake class here at the cake studio. We loved everyone's excitement about the topic and heard from many of you who couldn't make that date so we will put it on the calendar again later this year. We focuses on 3 new trends - party printables, jar cupcakes and cupcake push-up pops.

Our party printables were provided by 2 local designers - Amy Miller Designs and Sarah O Chic. When planning a party, please remember to support your local businesses! We used the printables to create cupcake toppers and stickers to add to the cupcake jars and pushup pops.

Sweets for Scottsdale Moms Bog Mom's Night Out 2012-02-09

We recently participated in the Scottsdale Moms Blog Mom's Night Out by providing a huge display of sweets - mini cupcakes, chocolate dipped pretzels, sugared sugar cookies and pink lemonade cookies. We heard our sweets disappeared fast and were a huge hit! The event was cosponsered by Scottsdale Moms Blog and Raising Arizona Kids and was hosted by Ultra Star Cinemas Ultra Luxe Scottsdale. We do a lot of events at venues around town and I was so impressed with the hosts - they had my table all ready to go, very helpful staff and easy parking so that I could bring everything in. Did you know that the theater has a private screening room that you can rent for parties? how cool would that be for a birthday party?

Princess Cake for a 5th Birthday - Pink and Green Polka Dots topped with a Pink Tiara 2012-02-09

This cake was ordered for a 5th birthday celebration - the birthday girl came in our shop with her mom and looked through our books and designed the cake for her party. Our princess tiara cakes are so popular with the girls!
