We’d heard that planning a wedding was meant to be a challenge, and feared we’d have to negotiate our way through the frou frou, added extras and pay double for it. But things could not have been easier with the help of Bettina from Special Touch. As a pair of Melbournians, we were lucky to receive all the specialist knowledge of a proud local as we planned to wed at Lavandula and then celebrate at The Macaroni Factory of Hepburn Springs. Our pre-existing vision was respectfully considered, but highly refined with the help of Bettina. We wanted a charming picnic for our ceremony and she knew where to fine the sweetest strawberries, a nice bubbly drop and some amazing produce that delighted our gourmet-loving guests. And when our guests did arrive…half and hour

early- her staff looked stylish and poised to tend to their needs.

We hoped for sunshine, but she made sure there was a lovely roof over our heads when the gale-force winds and rain ensued! In fact, she probably bribed the weatherman to get the momentary sunshine that glowed upon our arrival. Bettina literally rolled out the red carpet, an unexpected moment of classiness we all enjoyed. After getting the whole wedding congregation from the gardens to Maria’s macaroni factory by bus, Bettina made sure the setting would be smooth for the evening to flow just as we’d planned.

The helpful moments are too innumerable to list but safe to say, with Bettina’s assistance, our wedding was all about the fun for everyone involved. From the moment first started chatting with Bettina to the last rose she carefully set on the table, she was incredibly thoughtful, resourceful and extremely motivated towards perfection. From out initial meeting through to a seamless post-event pack-up, she thought of every detail and managed every supplier and venue owner involved.

As a pair that had a fairly unconventional plan, and by no means the experience to execute it seamlessly- we are extremely grateful for her consulting service and all the extra enthusiasm she put into her planning and execution. Our friends have since said that we redefined weddings with such a wonderful celebration, which we quietly know was greatly assisted behind the scenes! It was invaluable to be free from responsibility on the big day and so our heads could be filled with excitement instead.
