Elegant Romance: Bridal Gown Monday 2012-02-13

Happy Monday.. more specifically Happy Bridal Gown Monday! We’ve been leading up to Valentine’s day with a few posts about romance. We covered mushy romance with our DIY Secret Love Letter and sweet passionate romance with our Loving Love Inspiration Friday. Today we are going romantically Elegant with Designer AlmaNovia.

The soft lace, flowing ruffles, sleek lines, the slight pleating accents, and flowing pleated accents is exactly why we think AlmaNovia’s new 2012 bridal gown line is perfect for a romantic Valentine Wedding.

AND of course Our Favourite gown this week is AlmaNovia’s Sabela gown. We are loving the soft flowing layered ruffles with the pleated accents on a slant that adds the hourglass silhouette on the bodice. We also love the paired coverall in lace (shown on left) that adds the perfect amount of romantic elegance and a vintage feel to a modern gown.

Loving Love – Friday: A Day of Wedding Inspiration 2012-02-10

Happy Friday!!! TGIF… It’s the weekend before Valentine’s Day so we are falling in love with love this Inspiration Friday.

Pinks, purples, and reds… sounds unusual some even think red and pink clash. But they are very compatible colours and for valentines day they are perfect. For weddings it gives that pretty glow making a blushing bride!

We got gushy, mushy, and romantic with hearts, florals, and even some chocolate covered strawberries! So here is our version of a Valentine Wedding filled with amazing items and designs from amazing vendors. Photo credits are below!

Secret Love Letter: DIY Wedding Wednesday 2012-02-08

Happy Hump Day! Have you gotten over the hump of the week already?? It’s almost Valentine’s Day.. the day of love. So this DIY Wedding Wednesday is not only for the bride and groom but for all those interested in sending a secret love letter.

On the wedding day it is sometimes customary that the bride and groom to exchange a gift. And what better a gift than a touching a mushy love letter. It’s a great way to build the excitement and love just before walking down the aisle. You can pre-plan to send your letter with the best man for the groom and the maid of honour for the bride.



Today we’re showing you how to fold that love letter so it’s for your your loves eyes only! It’s going to be up to you to write all the mushy, loving, and tender words you can think to say to your husband/wife to be! Once your done it’s time to fold!


Let’s get started:

Step 1Fold paper in half and reopen.
Step 2Fold the left and right side of the fold towards the centre fold.
Step 3Once left and right side are folded towards the centre, re-fold along the centre fold to make one long strip. Now fold top corner aligning along the edge. Do the same for the bottom corner accept in the opposite direction.
Step 4Using the space in between the the 2 triangles you just created, fold over so that the 2 triangles lie above the edges on the left and right side. For the bottom triangle fold right to left. For the top triangle fold left to right.
Step 5Now fold one of the new rhombus shapes (I chose the top) towards the centre. For the top you simply fold down. Now fold the triangle that lays of edge in towards the centre overlapping the first. This will begin to shape the letter into a perfect square.
Step 6Now repeat by folding the other rhombus shape towards the centre. Fold triangle the lays of edge towards centre overlapping the first, then tuck tip of triangle under the first layer of triangles locking the square in place.
VOILA!
The perfect square, secret, “For Your Eyes Only” love letter gift for your wife or hubby to be! (Also
great for a love letter on valentines day). You can now get creative with colours, drawings, and penmanship to decorate your square.

BHLDN: Bridal Gown Monday 2012-02-06

Happy Monday! Did you all enjoy the Super Bowl yesterday… or like me enjoy a nice Sunday of relaxation??

We are absolutely LOVING the BHLDN Bridal line. Classic, sexy, unique, detailed, feminine and flirty, vintage/old Hollywood glamour…. need I say more! Of  course we found our favourite gown of the week (see down below) in the BHLDN line. There dresses are stunning and very affordable and the best part is they have a phenomenal accessory line to match!

Neutrals – Friday: A Day of Wedding Inspiration 2012-02-03

TGIF! Happy beginning to a wonderful weekend! It’s February the month of love, family, and so much more. How they fit so much in one month…. we will never know.

Well here on the Beginning of Forever’s blog we are always about rich colours and vibrant pallets. But we are also fond of the neutrals. Yes, there is a possibility that  a neutral wedding could seem dull, but if you play upon all the tones and tints you can choose from a neutral theme can also be quite stunning and lush.

There are so many neutral tones to choose from. From white-beige-brown-black and even greys and silvers, you wont find it hard to think of the right mix for your wedding. Today we have blended them all together (well most anyway) for our Neutral inspiration Friday! Hope you enjoy!
