The Whitney

The Whitney is Detroit's most celebrated restaurant. Housed in a historic 52 room 1890s mansion on Woodward Avenue in the heart of Detroit's cultural district, The Whitney offers award-winning cuisine and an eclectic wine list in a stunning, warm atmosphere. The Whitney is dedicated to providing you and your guests with not only a day to remember but details that you will never forget. Our Sales-Banquet Manager will work with you to create the food and beverage package to fit your party's needs. We also have an in-house Pastry Chef that is available to create your perfect wedding cake.

We have private rooms for wedding receptions of 12 guests and up. The First Floor can seat approximately 180 guests. The Whitney Garden is available for ceremonies and receptions and can hold more than 400 guests. Wedding ceremonies may also be held inside the mansion on the 2nd Floor and on the 2nd and 3rd Floor Staircase Landing in front of the Tiffany Stained Glass window.
