One of the joys I receive as a professional photographer is reliving the day’s events through the editing process after the session. I wanted to take a few minutes to make this post, so you can understand the joy I feel from some of the simple moments captured during our G2KU time.
Janson and Janice are so loving and generous that you can’t help but feel happy while around them. They have a zest for life, and each other, that is rarely duplicated. They are fun, flirty and fabulous!
During their G2KU session, a quick stop to Sara Sara Cupcakes was in order to relax and enjoy the sweets. After sitting down, I spotted an awesome shot with his tidy jacketed arm with the white table and the dark chocolate cupcake color. As I heard them giggling and “huuummm” over the sweets, I lined up my shot with camera in hand balancing a hot coffee mug. As the shutter clicked, the mirror blacks out the viewfinder for a split second… this image emerged on my preview screen. Being a little disappointed that I missed the shot, my cupcake was the next thing on my mind and a few images of them together enjoying the quiet sweet moment.
While culling the images for editing, seeing the image below full screen overwhelmed me and *almost* made me tear up. THIS was a beautiful image of Janice’s playful personality! Imagine how quick she must be to beat my athletic shutter finger or beat Janson’s blocking fork move. LOL
I love photographing people, the moments of joy and the quiet thoughts of love. I’m planning on crying during their ceremony. Tune in later for more previews.
Between the mishaps of the daily grind, life happens… Each moment more precious than the last!

We are excited to be one of the wonderful sponsors for this year’s Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma event to raise awareness and fund Food for Kids programs. This is the fourth year, Terri and I have been involved in covering the annual Chef Feast and we are thrilled to be helping Oklahoma children beat hunger. We always share charity opportunities with other talented photographers as a mentoring and/or training venue. We truly believe it’s our responsibility to give back to our communities since we are so blessed in our businesses, family and life.
If you attend the event, just look for the “WILL SHOOT FOR FOOD” T-shirt photographers and say hello! Of course, we are happy to take your photo with your favorite chef, food or celebrity while there! LOL

If you pressed me for an one word description of this couple it would be “eloquent”. Kevin & Bryttney don’t really talk that much, so that’s not the reason. I say that because during our session together, their whole bodies, eyes, lips, hands, etc. were so eloquent in saying “I love you”. The gently loving laughter, a quiet smile or a look that speaks volumes defines them. Kevin and Bryttney love the outdoors and the country. We spent a good portion of the time out in Red Rock Canyon State Park about an hour from our home in Mustang. It was a wonderful day and we finished up with his “other love affair”… mine too… the truck!
Kevin & Bryttney will be hitched this coming Friday at Festivities in El Reno. It’s sure to be a beautiful novel with a happy ending.

Each wedding is different in many ways, but what doesn’t change is the joy, love and excitement in the air. Kevin & Bryttney’s day was no exception! It was perfect.
This couple is very family centered and decided to have the wedding in the Oklahoma City area so most of the family and friends could attend. The location, one of our favorites, was Festivities Event Center in El Reno, OK. The well wishes were incredible and Kevin & Bryttney couldn’t move through the room without being stopped, hugged and congratulated. I’m not sure they had time to eat… well, at least they did get some cake. LOL
These are just a few teasers of the special moments on their day. This is just a small representation of the wonderful treasures captured throughout event. I would be amiss not the thank the help from the day’s photographic team, Terri Trawick, Brian Davis, Sarah Mckenzie & Kathy Broad. Hats off to all of you for helping create beautiful memories for Mr. & Mrs. King.
