Perfect timing! Same-sex marriage on Pride weekend! 2011-06-27

I am so proud to be a NY officiant that can now (more) officially perform gay weddings!  I have always worked with same-sex couples on committment ceremonies, but it's an honor to be someone who will be part of this new movement and law here in NY!

The same-sex weddings I have worked on have had an energy about them that you can't quite put your finger on- I've always thought it has something to do with how hard the couple has had to work to get to that point, so there is something extra special about the whole event- the guests feel it, the vendors feel it, certainly the couple feels it.  I cannot wait to sign my first same-sex marriage  certificate!
