Occasionally an opportunity comes up to enter a photo contest of some sort and we always have a good time picking a few of our favorite images to send in. Exquisite Wedding Magazine recently held a cover contest, and one of our images made runner up! Not quite the same as being a cover girl, but still pretty darn neat.

Best of 2011 2012-01-17

Wow, we can't believe it has been almost 5 months since we've posted! We had a slew of great weddings, a special trip to Italy and then the holidays! 2012 is giving us a chance to catch up and we've put together some of our favorite moments of 2011. We've included a few events that we haven't had a chance to blog about, but couldn't bear to leave out. Nate and Lauren 2011-08-31

The Park Hyatt Aviara boasts lush grounds as well as a beautifully appointed interior, all of which provided wonderful backgrounds for Lauren and Nate's wedding day. A touching outdoor ceremony was followed by a fountain-side cocktail hour. The couple's fun and spunky personalities shined during their grand entrance and the maid-of-honor's rapped speech. The DJ kept the dancing lively long into the night.

Beth and Brian 2011-08-25

A full choir joyfully punctuated Beth and Brian's wedding service at St. Joseph Cathedral, the same church where two generations of Beth's family had wed before her. After their vows the bride and groom and their wedding party made a truly grand entrance to the San Diego Yacht Club by way of a beautiful yacht. A band kept the dancing lively while guests enjoyed mingling with their tapas style food and wine.

Lauren and Nate's Downtown Shoot 2011-08-11

Downtown shoots have their own special charm, as evidenced by Lauren and Nate's session. Filled with little eateries, bars, hidden parks and great textural elements, the outcome can be surprising and fun. This shoot with Lauren and Nathan was an enjoyable way to get to know their great personalities, and after seeing them as guests at a wedding we shot this past Saturday, we are really looking forward to shooting their wedding this coming weekend!
