A loving glance… A soft spoken whisper… A stolen kiss… is the focus of Vasna Wilson’s work on your Wedding Day. Vasna’s unobtrusive photojournalism training, art history background and world travels offers a perfect blend of formal technical training, worldly and artistic perspective that will be essential in capturing the subtle yet magical moments of your special day
Vasna began creating timeless images of weddings, families and children in 2000. As to why Vasna chose to photograph these subject matters she answered the following…”I have traveled all over the world photographing the most beautiful sights known to man. I have covered important political events and influential political leaders. I have documented heart-warming humanitarian projects all over the world that depict the best that human nature has to offer however nothing I have ever photographed has filled my heart and soul more than the union of a couple on their wedding day, the special moments shared by a family or the look of hopeful innocence on a child’s face.”
“After all of my travels and experiences I have come to realize that in the end, the most beautiful things in life are about love, hope and family and this is why weddings, families and children are my favorite subject matters…they convey all that matters.”
A San Francisco based freelance photographer, Vasna’s work has appeared in the nations’ leading newspapers, including: The San Francisco Chronicle, New York Times, The New Your Daily News, The Washington-Post, The Los Angeles Times, The Virginian-Pilot, The Atlanta-Journal Constitution, The Dallas Morning News, The Richmond Times and The Copley Chicago Sun Publications… and Operation Smile, a global medical non-profit organization.
At home when she is not on the road covering assignments, Vasna enjoys outdoor activities, such as white water wafting, hiking, long walks, as well as going to the movies, food and wine.
