We photographed a great wedding at Cougar Mountain near Issaquah, WA, recently. Raven and Sean chose a great location which lent itself to great photographs.
The preparations went well, with the bride getting ready offsite, while the groom stayed at the park to get ready.

The ceremony took place at a nice grassy overlook at the park, surrounded by trees.

After the ceremony, everyone gathered for portraits.

The reception was held under a tent in a field at the park.

We’ve been busy here at Vecta Photo, and recently were fortunate to photograph the marriage of Laura and James at The Center for Urban Horticulture at the University of Washington.

After getting ready, the bride and her parents made their way to the ceremony which was held on the grounds of the center.

The ceremony was held in a small sun-lit grove surrounded by trees and nature.

After the ceremony, we shot photographs of the wedding party and the bride and groom.

The reception was held at the same venue.

DJs and dancing closed out the evening. Thanks again to Laura and James for having us along to document their big day…

Aaron Asis will feature his take on the global urban landscape this Saturday at Vecta Photo.
This upcoming Saturday, the Vecta Photo Gallery is proud to host Cities Lomiscene, an exhibit featuring the striking photographic work from local photographer Aaron Asis. Aaron busily transformed the gallery at Vecta to show his foray into medium-format lomographic photography delving into global urban landscape perspectives.
Aaron, a recent recipient of a City Arts Art Walk award, describes the effort:
In a world full of color complexity and fascination – this series of lomograhic photos shares a collection of urban scenes from around the world. Each photo is pulled directly from a medium-format negative, and printed as a composition – from cities in California, District of Columbia, France, Japan, New York, Russia.
Born in the past, re-invented in the present, this once nearly extinct photographic tool still exists – a touch north of a plastic pin-hole and a far, far south of standard 35mm.
We’ll be open en force for this Saturday’s Art Walk, 6pm-until-? Come on by and see these amazing prints, indulge in a wine or beer, and get down with the world-famous Vecta PhotoBooth.

Misha Huntting's stunning mixed-media work, pictured above, will be on display this Saturday at the Vecta Gallery. (Photo - Tony Blazejack/Vecta Photo)
It’s hard to believe, but another ArtAttack! is upon us. With Spring (finally… kind of) beginning to show its beautiful self, we here at the Vecta Photo Studio & Gallery are very pleased to announce two local artists exhibitions on Saturday May 14, from 6-9pm. Misha Huntting will show her mixed-media commentary on the discouraging reality of the American dream and the characters that embody it. It’s a dark, gritty and unapologetic collection, and graces our walls quite well.
Also, Photographer John Gerhard will be showing his etherial collection of de-focused perspectives, challenging viewers to see things from a different stance. As light, shadows and detail blend, his very careful and intentional approach to his photographs reveal depth that often gets lost in conventional photography.
Both artists will be on hand to discuss their work, the popular Vecta PhotoBooth will be in full swing, and (the even more popular) Georgetown Brewing beer will be on tap. And if that’s not enough to satisfy your craving for the creative, this particular installment of ArtAttack! promises to be a good one, with plenty of featured artists and exhibitions. Come, hang out, explore the incredible community, and take home some art!
