Felt Cake Brain Freeze 2009-11-25

For the last two days I have been trying to make a final decision on the Vivians's Kitchen winter gift certificate felt cake. I started out wanting all blue with white top, then changed to white with a cookie reindeer, then to white roses and so on and so on. So I forced myself to work and come up with something, but still with no real clue. Piles of prototypes and felt scraps were all around me when finally, at about 10:00pm, I just put something together out of nowhere and I think it came out pretty cool. Not what I had wanted originally, but very modern and pretty. So I have decided to make an additonal style with a white felt cake and white roses, along with some other goodies, for a more traditional winter wedding look. So this was part of my mess and the felt winter wedding cake I came up with.

Cute Peppermint Bark Ornament 2009-12-01

I made up a sweet felt ornament to look like a box of peppermint bark with candy pieces. all pieces can be hung on the tree including the box. took a lot of hours to come up with the pattern and put it together, but I think it came out super cute. www.etsy.com/shop/vivianskitchen

Vivian's Kitchen Creation 2009-12-01

Working on a fall felt cake with daisys. It has been fun, but like always, a bit frustrating trying to get the felt dyed to the right color of the actual flowers. I have been having a lot of fun working on this one and can't wait to send it off for the bride to enjoy. That is my felt color swatch book in the back that I go through all the time.

Felt Birthday Cake Ornament 2009-12-19

I made this cute little felt birthday cake ornament for a collegue's new niece. I hope they enjoy! I have finally finished up my orders before my own Christmas break, but I can't wait to start focusing on some Valentine's and Spring felt cakes for Vivian's Kitchen.
