So excited to share a beautiful wedding from this weekend on San Juan Island. Here’s a small preview of what we shot.

Sarah + Baffour Engaged | Alki Beach, Seattle 2012-05-18

Sarah and Baffour are so great together. They both have a great laugh. They have matching boat shoes. But most of all, they are crazy about each other, which we like to see.

Baffour has been living all over West Seattle for a while now, so it was great to take photos in the neighborhood they love and spent a lot of time in. These two are in the process of moving to California after the wedding, so it was special to photograph them in Baffour’s last home in Seattle. The house is right on Alki Beach with an amazing view of the water, and we literally just crossed the street to get some shots with bikes on the beach. We finished at nearby Lincoln Park where Baffour proposed while they were supposedly “going for a run”. They will tie the knot in Mexico and we couldn’t be happier for them!

Irina + Alex Engaged Preview | Seattle, WA 2012-05-17

Renee + David Engaged | Los Angeles, CA 2012-05-14

Renee and David love to sail and love to do it together. It made perfect sense to do their engagement photos on a sailboat near their home. We started at Marina del Rey and sailed along the coast to Santa Monica (where they will be getting married) and back. Yuriy is crazy about sailing so this was his dream engagement session! It was the warmest day yet this year in LA and we felt so lucky to be on a sailboat during a gorgeous California sunset with two really cool people. It was such a treat to watch Renee and David sail together — they don’t take themselves too seriously and know how to enjoy life. We can’t wait to return for their wedding in September, which will naturally be near the water as well.
